WHERE WE ARE

Sámara Beach, in the province of Guanacaste, is one of the most accessible beaches on the 

northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. There is a paved highway from San José to Sámara for those who rent a car. It is a long trip, at least 3 1/2 a 4 hours but it will allow you to enjoy

the countryside of this beautiful country.

Sámara is located 1 hr 30 min from the Liberia’s Daniel Oduber International Airport

HOW TO GET TO SÁMARA BEACH

Driving
Follow the Interamericana Highway North, to the turnoff for the Tempisque Bridge

(bridge to Nicoya). After crossing the bridge over the Gulf of Nicoya,  follow the signs to Nicoya. Drive through the town of Nicoya then turn south to Sámara.

Flying
 Daily flights from and to San José are available. Service is provided by two airlines:

Sansa and TravelAir. Flying time is about 40 minutes.

By Bus
If you decide to travel by bus, the Alfaro Bus Company, situated in downtown San José (Coca Cola area), offers a daily trip to Sámara at 12:30pm and 6:30pm.

Cost of the ticket is approximately US$ 7.00.
